Gents,

Just wanted to say thank you for a great weekend, you all made me feel really welcome and I really enjoyed the experience and meeting you all. I'd very much like to come out again. In fact, I've received a tentative ok from the missus to come along to Fort Amherst...but she was in a good mood when she said that...

Cheers,

Kris

Hello Kris
Welcome to the Forum and hopefully in due course we can welcome you as a member of 2nd 95th !
I think your quote of Wilfred Owen is very apt - in our case we would agree that if you are going to be a re enactor be a good one!

Whatever you decide, given your interest of history, you will find much to read on this forum - but there's even more in the dusty backrooms where only the chosen few may enter!

It was great to meet you Kris and glad you enjoyed it. I thought you, Nigel and Dan performed admirably both in drill and with camp duties.
I probably won't be at Amherst so if you do attend have a good one.
I'll most likely see you at one of the winter training events.

Thanks guys, I really did have a great time. I'll keep my eye open for the warning order and hopefully the missus will be in a good mood when it arrives too!

I'd very much like to take the shilling, assuming you guys will have me of course!

Cheers,

Kris

Ah, you see - that's to tempt out those of us who shunned a glorious death initially...I think we well and truly proved our proclivity for a catch tune on Sunday night...who could resist?

Doe, a deer, a female deer...
