Yet another 95th rifles button from Denmark

Hi all. Last year (October 2015) I posted a 95th rifles button found with metal detector in Denmark and you were all very helpful regarding information on known buttons. As it happens, I was lucky enough to find another one yesterday. It's from the same farm but around 250 meters from the first one. The diameter is the same as the previous one: 15 mm.

Cheers!

Exciting stuff Tobias!

Any chance we can see a photo of the other side please once it has been cleaned up?

Many thanks

Superb, Tobias. Thank you very much for posting. Perhaps we should start plotting where all of these buttons were found. I have two, and one was merely described as 'dug in Spain'. The other came with GPS co-ordinates of a farm in Urrugne in France where it was found.

What is it with buttons and farms? And did any more cap badges come to light? I know collectors who are crying out for those.

Thanks both of you. I'll post a picture of the reverse soon. But it is quite worn.

Both buttons were found in Allerslev: http://tinyurl.com/j47ogar
Wellesley had his headquarters for a while just a few kilometers to the north. Unfortunately, we have not found any more cap badges.

Much easier to lose a button in a ploughed field or a hay meadow then on a road or other hard surface.... Thats lose as in 'Not able to find' not as in 'Come off my jacket'

Here are the front and back together. No backmark visible, I'm afraid.
Regarding all the buttons found on farms, the most probable explanation is that they come from household refuse spread out on the fields as fertilizer. Also, most metal detecting takes place on farms and ploughed fields.
