Wellington: Triumphs Politics and Passions at the NPGWas up in the Smoke yesterday and popped in to the National Portrait Gallery to see the this exhibition on Wellington. I particularly liked the portrait studies of Wellington's officers but the star for me was the original diary of Edmund Wheatley. Some pages of which have been photographed and are shown on screen next to the display case. Nice sketch of his blanket tent features.
Some nice nick-nacks for sale in the shop if you are looking for a gift for the Wellingtonophile in your life.
Well worth half an hour of your time if you have the chance.
Admission free and on until 7th June
