Soldats napoleoniens

https://www.lelivrechezvous.fr/no...leoniens-n-14-nouvelle-serie.html

Link to the issue with article on regimental caps of the 95th. French language, but even if you aren't fluent, still worth it for the pics. And SN is easily the best Napoleonic interest medium out there.

The next issue should feature yours truly again on greatcoats.

well done

the French do have some very good mags on history. I always enjoy having a look when I am in France. much better then the UK full of ads offerings.

Once upon a time we had Tradition, First Empire, Military Modelling and an American Napoleonic mag I forget the name of. Now its a desert. The French have at least three top class magazines on napoleonic interest. I am envious.

Tradition

I have lots of the Tradition mags as they carry detail articles on weapons of the period, Uk magazines are very poor fair and I don't buy any. michael

The American mag I was thinking of was simply called 'Napoleon'. Essentially the house mag of one of their societies.

napoleon

Cant say I know that mag.i lived in the states for a time.the americans had some great napoleonic fans.i remember visiting a chap who had the largest private collection of old guard weapons and uniforms outside of france..he even had a few original standards which the french had taken with them to texas.michael

The next issue or Soldats Napoleoniens should feature an article on greatcoats and greatcoat straps by yours truly. I am trying to get these published in English language, but the peer review process is taking forever.
