Need a favour...

Hi Guys & Girls,

I have a bit of a bit of a problem and I'm hoping one of you wonderful people can help.

I'm in the process of renewing my Shotgun license which expires at the end of February and South Wales Police are dragging their feet (for no reason other than they can).

I may need someone to look after 2 "Baker" rifles for a while.  Can anyone help?  I can get the guns to you, and pick them up again once the renewal has arrived.

I won't be at the February training, I have a wedding to go to, but I will be at the March event.

Hi Dave. I don't understand why you need to move the guns if your liecences are in the process of renewing? PM or email if there's an issue.

Dave, Paul,

Yeah, The only people who appear not to know how it works is South Wales Police.....

The letter I had specifically states that if my renewal hasn't come through and I'm still in possession of a shotgun when my old license ends I am liable for prosecution under the firearms offenses act.  Even though they have acknowledged receipt of my renewal application.

I just can't afford to take the chance.  I only have to be charged with an offense and I'm unemployed.

Do bear in mind that if you are looking after someone elses shottys for more than 72 hours then they must be transferred onto your licence.

Dave I have plenty of storage room, me and Sylvia can accommodate your guns. Have consulted BASC, and they say you can keep them at home. If you are worried then me and Sylvia will put them up and if over 72 hours, still no problems. I will not see a man separated from his gun.
