A 95th Waterloo bone page turner?

Wonder if any of you gentlemen feel drawn to this?

Looks almost too good to be true?

Hi Richard. same here. It doesn't look old. The page turner may old but I feel the carving rather newer and plus if it is what it said it was, I think the starting price of 99p would be a lot higher.

Its quite nice though isn't it? Made by a re-enactor I expect. Shame its post-1815, or I'd pay a tenner for it.
Eddie

Its very nicely done - but as to whether its original I haven't a clue. It reminds me of that horn cup that was offered on ebay a while back with Talavera(of all things)  on it.

Yes I think your right there Eddie, could be done by the same chap. As Ben has pointed out, it's really post period.

Its an illustration of a re-enactor, so clearly made 5 minutes ago. But nonetheless, its quite well done. I'm sure the gut knocking them out isn't doing it with an intention to mislead, or they would be 'distress aged'. Its the sellers on who add a suggestion of authenticity. Whatever, its nice to see a lost art revived.

Picture reminds me of the ginger bloke from the third. I think there is a picture some where online of him in this exact pose.
