43rd Regiment of foot button from Denmark

As it happens my metal detecting friend from Denmark, who searches the same general area has informed me that he earlier this year found a button from the 43rd Regiment on foot. And it is in remarkable condition. I know it is not a 95th button, but I thought the forum might be interested due to the geographical proximity to the 95th buttons and since in 1803 the 95th, the 43rd and the 52nd  formed the first Corps of Light Infantry, which was led by Wellesley in the battle of Copenhagen in 1807. And as I mentioned in my previous posts, Wellesley was stationed at Blaesenborg Kro (Blaesenborg Inn) at the time, which is right next door. I'll try to get a picture of the back as well.

Here is a photo of the front and back combined.

Another beautiful find. This looks like the silvered officer's button, after the Light Infantry conversion. Here is a button (my collection) dug in Spain, that pre-dates the conversion, and/or indicates that the two buttons were run in tandem.

Out of interest, here are two 52nd buttons dug in France by a chap I met when we went to the Vera Bridge bicentennial.
